Briar Cottage in Cobh is an historic gate lodge that needed modernisation as part of a new family home. Our proposal respects and enhances the existing house and a series of small extensions designed at the same width and scale as the existing building ensures the cottage retains its sense of importance on the site.
Sea views are presented on arrival into the main living spaces and a deep threshold at the rear patio with fully opening doors offers a sheltered space to enjoy the spectacular vista.
