A new extension to a traditional townhouse set in an historic part of Cork City adjacent to University College Cork. The design proposes to reconnect the living spaces with the rear garden and draw in light from a series of roof lights. A deep recessed bay window made from Accoya wood sitting on a polished concrete plinth gives framed views to the garden while also providing shade.
