Ardenza is one of only a few original houses left on Church Road in the heart of Blackrock village. We proposed restoring the old house and bringing it back to its original state. A modern two storey extension, its form influenced by the original house, is pinned back to the north side of the site to maximise southern garden space and create an oasis in the city.
A mixture of brick, render and wood finishes bring warmth and texture while deep recessed windows offer inviting seating spaces straddling between interior and outside.
