Ballybane House is an historic house built c. 1790, and features on the national inventory of architectural heritage.
The house was disjointed and lacking any flow or connection with the garden or sun path. Our proposal of bringing the kitchen into the heart of the original house and building a new living space that connects directly with the garden ensures the house benefits from a renewed sense of connectivity and flow. South and west facing courtyards bring the garden into the heart of the house and vertical void spaces draw light into the centre of the original house.
